**HOT OFF THE PRESS**
My new "Concert Cards" are now available for worldwide distribution!
These took about 2 1/2 weeks of planning on my part, but towards the end, I was really excited with outcome. Interacts just like a real concert ticket. Fold and tear off the stub, and share. Real simple!
Specs:
- 4 x 2 card with perforated fold line to fold down to little over 2" wide. Easy to stash in your pocket or wallet.
- .25" circle die-cut resembling the feel of a vintage ticket
- Printed on 13 pt. Card stock (uncoated)
Special thank you to Joe Albert of J. Albert Studios for the portraiture work. Your work is phenomenal!
Stranger #70 - Lance
June 15, 2014
The early evening was fast approaching in downtown Canton and I decided to do a quick photo walk with a few photographer friends in the area. AND while I was out, decided to analyze any potential project subjects.
After messing around with a few practice subjects, I found this guy sitting over on a bench by Buzzbin, fumbling around passing time. I wondered why.
This is Lance and he was actually just killing time before his band went on at Buzzbin Music. Lance, who's originally from Portland Oregon, plays guitar and vocals with his Punk/Indie band, Estocar.
When I approached him, he was real mellow about me taking a few shots of him for the project. It's always nice to ask and get no explanation. I wanted to keep it real and casual for his shot, so I asked Lance to quickly look at the camera.
Thank you Lance for allowing me to snap a few before you went on. Good luck with the rest of your tour.

On a small and sad note, I will be without my camera for a bit. Getting upgraded to a new camera and expect to be back the first half of July.
Photos: Diverge @ The Auricle Music Venue
I made my first appearance at The Auricle - Music Venue in Canton, Ohio last night to shoot Diverge. Honestly, this has to be one of the more professional small club venues I've been to. The quality of sound bounced seamlessly around the room. Alongside, stage lighting provided ample mood sets throughout the band's playlist. Oh yeah, they have a friggin fog machine!
Photos: Tantric @ The Agora Theatre
Tantric headlined the evening at the Agora Theatre in Cleveland Wednesday. I remembered listening to these guys back in my high school days and kind of lost interest in them over the years. Hugo, their only founding member left, put on a emotional show, playing a lot of the old stuff with new material that blended into a great night.
Photos: Entendre @ The Agora Theatre
I got permission to shoot the band, Entendre Wednesday night at the Agora in Cleveland as they opened up for Tantric. The band's manager, RC hooked me up on covering the evening and came away with a huge grin on my face. This was my second time shooting Entendre and every time they perform, they light the stage on fire. It's great to have a dedicated manager to get these guys opening for bigger acts.
My Post Memorial Day Tribute
I was meaning to get this up earlier in the weekend, but I've been swamped with shoots, editing and family events, I couldn't get time to post my Memorial Day tribute shot. The weekend was picture-perfect for anything outdoor related and I took advantage of it avoiding hibernation indoors as much as possible.
This truly is the greatest country in the world and all possible for those served and now serving. Thank you!
P.S. I have a few photo shoots in the next coming weeks that I'm pumped for and can't wait to get 'em up here.
Now we may all resume getting back to the work week. :P
The Color Vibe @ Lock 3 (Akron, OH)
The Color Vibe once again hit Akron, Ohio this year. This time in a different part of the city than last year. I was a little worried that I may not get the shots I was looking for from year prior, considering the race and color stations were spread far apart, making it impossible to visit them all. So I looked over the race map for this year and decided dedicate myself to the last color station. The area was nestled into the park of Lock 3 by the towpath, close to the finish line. So if you're wondering what color station I found myself at, lets just say there's a particular song by Aerosmith that will give it away. ;)
I've had this date marked down in my calendar since last December since the Color Vibe ALWAYS have the best 5k's out of the other color runs. This one didn't disappoint and the shots were easily my favorite out of them all.
After the runners crossed the finish line, they were welcomed to gather around the Lock 3 stage for music, color throws, and prizes. 'DJ Street' was the DJ in charge to make sure everyone was having a good time. And yes, we was outstanding!

Since this was my third color run event, I again wrapped the gear in saran wrap for added layer of protection from the color powder. If you would like to know how I did this, visit my post from the 'Color Me RAD' I also shot.
Zapp @ The Tangier Cabaret
Zapp! The word alone should get ya off your feet and dive into this funkadelic band out of Hamilton, Ohio. I was fortunate enough to shoot these guys at the Tangier Cabaret Friday evening and boy, did they get totally funky right from the gecko. Easily the most charismatic group I had the chance to see. I can't leave out their flashy treads throughout the show (more costume changes than I care to count). These guys been around for awhile and I even found myself picking up on a few familiar tunes.
Thank you Zapp and Jasmine of the Tangier for the exciting show. Enjoy my favorites from the evening.

I left with a smile on my face and I believe everyone inside did as well. Not as crowded as previous shows, but I did find myself bobbin' and weavin' as usual—ninja style!
Stay tuned as I will be going to the front lines of the ColorVibe this Saturday. Have a great/safe Memorial Day weekend!
My Little Sister's Couple Session
My little sister is officially all grown up! As the pages fall and end on this chapter, I thought it would be great to share her 'Couple's Shoot' I had with her boyfriend, Bronson. Now, I really didn't plan on putting these images up on my blog, but these turned out far better than I expected and not sharing would be a utter waste. Congrats Carly and best of luck to you in your college years!
The images you see below were shot in Canton and Smithville, Ohio.
I'm no adroit couple photographer, but I captured this shot at the perfect time. I told the two to walk towards me while looking at each other and see who could crack a smile first.
The Scenic Route @ Sadie Rene's
Brad Crozier, the band manager for The Scenic Route invited me to down and shoot the band at Sadie Rene's in Canton. Since the venue is right around the corner from my house, I was eager to shoot these guys again. If you haven't checked out The Scenic Route, they are a young and talented group from Canton. And to top it off, they're prepping for their CD release early next month.

This was my first time shooting at this venue and I really liked it. Small, but the stage setup and standing area makes for a great concert experience. Thanks to The Scenic Route for the great performance and inviting me down.
